Joslyn ate toast with jelly and had 2nd's on dried mangoes.  For lunch she ate burrito,  bites of sweet potato, ate tropical fruit.

The first thing Joslyn did was load up on books and then head for the chair.  She read for a long time.  I told Lauralea that sometimes it's hard finding enough different things to write about Joslyn.  She'll find something she likes and play with that one thing for the longest time.  I don't think you have to worry about any attention deficit problems with her.  :)  She can stay on one task for a long time if it's something that interests her.

She was talking to herself in the mirror and it sounded like it was about "Elmo".  I asked her and she got kind of embarrassed and wandered off.  :)

She played with the dress up clothes (again) and will frequently leave the same thing on all morning or just add more layers.  (as I've mentioned several times before).  :)

We were singing along with some kid's music and they especially liked the "Head, shoulders, knees, and toes....eyes, ears, mouth, and nose...  Then it repeats several times and gets faster each time.  And we were doing the actions so it was getting kind of silly and crazy.

Joslyn ate cinnamon roll and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate scrambled eggs, bite of waffles and hash browns, ate 1/2 of cantaloupe.

Lauralea was holding baby Nora and Joslyn was getting acquainted with the baby.  That basically means she was petting Nora and sucking her thumb.  :)  She loves the babies, but doesn't spend as much time with them as she used to.  A few months ago she just couldn't get enough of them and smothered them with her love and care.

We put on some kid's music and they were enjoying dancing around.  Then Joslyn, Morgan, and Kenzie were spinning.  Actually Morgan and Kenzie were doing most of the spinning and Joslyn was pretending to fall down.

Joslyn had a squirt bottle and cloth and was pretending to clean.  That is a favorite game of their's and sometimes they do it a lot.  Such foolish kids!  :)  She was 'squirting' everything and then scrubbing it all clean.

Several of the kids were at the window watching crows and other birds.  Then they were waving at a neighbor.

Joslyn ate mixed fruit and 1/2 of her kix cereal for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ham sandwich, broccoli, and mandarin oranges.

We did a toy and book exchange so Joslyn was pretty busy all morning.  The first thing she played with was the food toys.  This set has some pots with lids and Thomas was filling them up and thumping the lid down.  Joslyn found that to be fairly humorous and of course Thomas was happy to have an appreciative audience.

Then she moved on to the dress up clothes.  Overall I think Joslyn plays with the dress up clothes more than anyone.  And of course she likes to have on several layers.  She was wearing three shirts.  This set has a sports theme so she had on some soccer shoes too.  Then she was wearing this cap sideways to set off everything with the 'gangsta' look.  :)

She spent some time jumping on the mattress on several different occasions.  She's getting pretty good at jumping; getting both feet off the ground.

Joslyn read lots of books and played hard until lunch time.  Several of the kids have runny noses and were pretty worn-out by lunch.  Peyton and Joslyn were basically the only two still going strong.

Joslyn ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she had bites of meat loaf, ate french bread, 1/2 of carrots, and ate dried apricots.

Joslyn was doing lots of jumping onto the mattress today.  As she was about to jump she'd hold her finger by her nose, tilt her head sideways, and do a big jump. I'm not sure of the significance of that, but is was pretty cute.  She's starting to jump more fearlessly and getting more air when she jumps.  I just thought you'd like to know that.  :)

Alayna was in her space and Joslyn started to scream (also with her fangs bared), but was able to think of what we want her to do and changed her approach in 'mid-scream'.  She stopped, said, "move back!", while also doing the 'move back' sign.  Nice job Joslyn.

She and Emily were waiting for me to clean up the lunch table and were singing the "good night" song.  First Joslyn sang, "good night Emily", then Emily sang, "good night milk", then Joslyn sang, "good night mango", and on it went.  :)

Jadey was playing with the heart bracelets and then started using them for ear rings and was hanging them on her ears.  Then she was hanging them on Joslyn's ears.

Joslyn ate cinnamon toast and 2nd's on grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, dinner roll, mashed potatoes, and 1/2 of cherries.

Morgan has been using the term "backflip" when jumping off the climber onto the mattress.  (She got it from watching Monte at the basketball games).  So today Joslyn said, "I do backflip" when she was jumping onto the mattress.  It closely resembled a belly flop, but who am I to quibble about details.  :)

All the kids were lined up at the window watching several squirrels run amok and then several crows showed up for our viewing pleasure.

Joslyn and Emily were sitting side-by-side reading their books.  It looked very cute.  Then in the back room Joslyn hauled her pop-up toy over beside Emily.  (who was playing with a similar toy).

Joslyn had all the little play people neatly lined up and organized on top of the big play shelf.  (at least until Jadey came by and scattered them with a swoop of her arm).

Joslyn ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  (the peaches were not whole wheat).  For lunch she had mac-n-cheese, lettuce salad, and corn.

Joslyn has a new name for baby Nora.  It's "baby Noah".  We find it quite amusing and others are picking up on that of course.

Jadey was really into the whole "makeup" thing today.  Then Joslyn started digging in her purse too and said, "got some makeup!"  Pretty cute.

She was playing with the purse and had a doll in it again like yesterday.  She said, "I going to work."  It looked more like she was headed to the mall.

They were playing with the food toys and feeding each other.  Sometimes things get a little too rough and I think Morgan was missing the target when trying to insert the spoon in Joslyn's mouth.  Joslyn came over and said, "owie--morgan--mouth."

Joslyn and Jadey were putting the teddy bears on the couch and then sitting on the laps of the biggest ones.  So that looked like a good photo opportunity.

Joslyn ate a blueberry muffin and pears for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tuna and crackers, bite of sweet potatoes, bites of oranges.

We think Joslyn was happy to be back in her daycare.  She was grinning continuously and we both got several hugs this morning.  :)  She was also very happy to see the babies.

She played with the dolls, dress up clothes, food toys, purses, and I guess most everything else.  She was using one of the purses for her doll carrier.  The purse was draped over her arm with the doll hanging out.

Lauralea had to testify in court this morning (child custody case) and so Missy was here for a couple of hours.  She kept telling Joslyn how much she liked her haircut.  Missy read lots of books to them and Joslyn liked that.

Missy got down the see-through scarves for them to swing around while they were dancing.  Joslyn started using hers to wrap one of the dolls.

Joslyn played with the stacking blocks and the large legos in the back room.  She's basically the one who has been the good example of how to play with those two sets of toys.  Those are definitely some of her favorites to play with.  And it's one of her strengths; stacking and creating with them.
