Joslyn ate mixed berries and most of her toast for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ham, crackers, bean and bacon soup, and bites of kiwi.

Joslyn has been doing the sweetest loves first thing in the morning; usually after loving on the babies for awhile.  She had a very peaceful look on her face and was hugging me and then Lauralea.  (and then back to the babies.)

She wore lots of dress-up clothes.  First the firefighter's hat and then the engineer's hat.  And she also put on shoes and then some vests.  (usually at least two at a time.)

Joslyn was laying on the floor being the patient for Emily.  And Emily was applying the stethoscope to Joslyn's belly.  (of course she had the other end of the stethoscope wrapped around her belly.  Hmmm, I don't know if that's a competent doctor.  :)

She and Emily were also jumping onto the mattress and it looked like Emily was trying to get Joslyn to jump over her.  Then Joslyn started doing somersaults.

Thomas has this one hole that he likes to crawl into and then he is frequently 'stuck'.  (except he's not 'stuck' very bad.  I told him to just deal with it and Joslyn immediately jumped up to go rescue him.  And she pulled him right out; which surprised the heck out of me.  Then he went right back to the beginning and got stuck all over again and of course Joslyn was ready to help again.  Except this time he didn't want help and Joslyn was determined he needed some.    :)

Joslyn ate 1/2 of her whole wheat bagel and bites of dried apricots for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bite of tilapia, ate noodles and peas, and applesauce.

The first thing Joslyn did was go hug Lauralea and then come back and hug me again.  And then it was off to see how the babies were doing.  :)  She grabbed a book and crawled up by Nora.  Well Nora is so social; she just leans toward Joslyn and topples over.  Joslyn gets a bit frantic; "baby tip over, baby tip over..."  She's worried that the baby is going to get hurt.

We sang our "good morning to you..." song and did everyone's name and all the kids loved it and participated by singing loud and chanting the person's name that we were singing to.  "hi Morgan, hi Morgan.." or whoever.

We got the four little rocking chairs out of storage and of course it was something new and that was a big hit.  (and a big pain until they get bored with them.)  They used them to rock their 'babies'.

Joslyn enjoyed the back rooms and played with Jadey using the cars on the little ramp.

She had a pretty good morning and only a couple of conflicts when I had to intervene.  (she was playing with one car and hoarding two others.)    :)

Joslyn ate 1/2 of her breakfast: bran cereal and dried cranberries.  For lunch she ate pizza, steamed cauliflower, and tropical fruit.

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange and Joslyn had fun exploring everything.  She still went to the couch first and set by baby Nora and looked at a book with her.  She was pointing at pictures and saying, "what's this, Nora?"  (over and over again.)

She asked to do some puzzles at the same time as Kenzie and they stayed busy for 10 - 15 minutes doing them.

She played with the dolls and was using the firefighters hat for a doll bed.  She had the stethoscope around her neck and was 'doctoring' her baby.

They were all wearing the engineer hats so we had to do a picture.  When Joslyn took off her hat her flowered head-band was going wild and her hair was every which way.  :)  You'll notice in the next picture that Lauralea had taken pity on her and put in a ponytail.

And she's reading again in this picture.  She's looking at Peyton's book and maybe wondering why Peyton likes looking at them upside-down.

Joslyn ate malt-o-meal cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate 1/2 of her burger with spaghetti sauce, 1/2 of her noodles, ate lettuce salad, and bites of mixed fruit.

The first thing Joslyn did was crawl up on the couch and read books to Nora again.  And again later she was right there when I got Nora up from her nap.

I'm not sure exactly how, but she got stuck on Lauralea's foot while walking across the room and tripped. Everyone thought that was funny and then they all wanted to mimic it.

Well, they were spinning the chair in the back room again.  They never seem to get tired of that game.  Jadey was the main one spinning again although they did switch once.  Joslyn and Emily were the main riders.  Joslyn was reading books while going in circles.  :)  So Jadey got a book for Emily too.  She said, "you wanna read??"

This is a toy-exchange weekend so they got to load the washer again.  They never seem to get tired of that either.  They get very excited when it's time to load and work hard hustling back-n-fortth.

Fairly early this morning Morgan and Joslyn were having a tug-of-war over over one of the backpacks.  And they both were yelling like crazy.  Then Joslyn wanted to go to the  back room.  And sure enough she pooped while she was back there.  (and for some silly reason she stuck her hand down the back of her diaper.)  That's not my favorite surprise.  :)

Joslyn ate most of her raisin english muffin and all of her blueberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken and crackers, 2nd's on potato salad, and ate canned cherries.

Joslyn said she was "getting money" and then of course everyone else was "getting money".  She was at the wall getting her money; maybe from an ATM machine?  :)

Morgan and Kenzie said they were going to "play school".  Well Joslyn said she was going to "preschool".  She's the only one who has a sibling in preschool.  :)  We thought that was cute.

Everyone was playing with the animal suits and Joslyn worked hard to get the raccoon suit on all by herself.  It's not that easy as it's pretty cumbersome.  She also played with the backpacks and had them stuffed full of dolls, blankets, and everything else she could shove in there.

I included a picture of the kids having a water break this morning.  When one asks for water then everyone is thirsty of course.  They are programmed to sit down to have a drink so if it happens at home that's probably why.  One family told us that their child would only sit on the floor in front of the refrigerator to wait for a drink.  :)

Joslyn ate peaches and 2nd's on biscuits for breakfast.  For lunch she had baked beans, bites of dinner roll, ate steamed broccoli, and pineapple.

Joslyn was doing her daily mauling of the babies.  We try to have her 'talk' to the babies rather than constantly grabbing and loving on them.  But it's difficult because we have other kids that need attention too and we can't just be watching her and guarding the babies all the time.  :)    And we hate to constantly yap at her to back off because she loves them so much.  So anyhow we're dealing with it.  :)  She's actually pretty gentle with them; we're more concerned about the spreading of germs to the babies.  Also, Nora and Riley are very social and love the attention so that obviously encourages Joslyn.  Nora reaches for her and man Joslyn loves it.  Mia, on the other hand, does not like all that close attention.  At least not yet.

Joslyn enjoyed singing time and was participating by singing and doing the motions.

She and Jadey love playing in the back room with the rocking chair that also spins around and around.  They play with that thing everyday.  And they're pretty good about taking turns doing the riding and doing the spinning.  They'll say, "ready, set, go!"

Jadey has been giving other kids massages.  Joslyn saw what they were doing so she joined them on the step and they had an assembly line thing going on.  And they were rotating who was 'giving' and who was 'receiving'.

Joslyn ate waffles and hash browns for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of shrimp, 1/2 of brown rice, ate red peppers, and bites of oranges.

Joslyn gave a very cute morning greeting to Kate and Kate loved it.

Joslyn had a conflict-free morning.  Yea!!!  She spent lots of time with the babies and that's a favorite for her.  I only heard her yell one time at another child and that was when Thomas was moving in on her toy; oops, I mean baby Riley.  Joslyn yells, "My Riley!!"  She was piling tons of toys on Riley's lap and then she had a doll blanket that she laid across Riley's lap and was tucking it in under her legs.  It was actually pretty cute the way Thomas was approaching Riley; he had his mouth wide open and Riley turned to him with her mouth wide open.

Before that her attention was totally on baby Nora.  She went and got a book and sat close to Nora on the couch.  Nora kept reaching and grabbing for her and was pulling on her shirt sleeve.  That made Joslyn laugh.   Nora did grab onto Joslyn's hair once too, which was pretty funny.

Then Emily got onto the couch and sat close to Joslyn and wanted Joslyn to read the book to her.

Joslyn enjoyed story time and especially the new bird book that has lots of nice pictures and nice bird sounds.  She also enjoyed drawing on the magna-doodle at art time.
