Joslyn ate her banana and most of cheerios for breakfast.  For lunch she had 2nd's on toasted cheese sandwich, drank tomato soup, and ate apple slices.

Right after you left I changed her and she couldn't wait to get down and run over and lay in front of baby Riley.  Then she got some food toys and started 'feeding' her.  She thinks the babies are on the floor for her fun and entertainment.  (by the way, she only had a very small poop, but she did have a bigger one just before nap.)

She had three different incidents of grabbing and scratching other kids this morning.  So we had her do some alone time in one of the back rooms.  At this point it's more for safety (for the other kids) than for punishment.  She actually likes going back there and never cries about that part of it so it's obvious that wouldn't work as punishment.  She probably thinks it's a reward.  :)  If we're changing diapers or doing something else it's hard to watch every second so it's easier to have her regroup away from the rest of the kids until we're able to watch 100%.

Lauralea did some sign language with them and Joslyn did some of it.  She watched most of it and would do a few of the signs.  Then she'd stick her thumb back in her mouth so that eliminated the use of that hand.  She was pretty interested though.

She played with some dress-up clothes and put on some animal suits.  I took a picture of her in the giraffe suit.  She worked so hard to get it on.

Joslyn had bites of breakfast: oatmeal and dried cranberries.  For lunch she ate ground beef, 2nd's on macaroni noodles with peas (with shredded cheese on top), and she ate applesauce.

This morning was similar to yesterday morning; some scratching, grabbing, and even an incident of spitting on Jadey at the breakfast table.  (that was a new one).  And again she pooped at 10:30 and that seemed to help her aggressive behavior a lot.  (helped it to recede that is.)   :)

I think it's crazy how quickly they can recognize which baby is crying from the other room.  Baby Mia let out a very small squawk and instantly Joslyn said, "Mia crying!"  And that happens all the time when they can't see the baby and are not even in the same room.

Joslyn did some more puzzles (before she pooped) and that is a nice solitary activity that she enjoys.

She also watched the garbage workers and then the squirrels in the neighbors yard.  (or as I call them, "Ed and Big Willy!").  Just kidding.  :)

Everyone was enthralled with the bottoms of baby Nora's socks.  They have a very soft material almost like velour and the kids were wanting to rub their face on it.  Joslyn was also trying to read books to the baby and shoving the book in her face so she could see the pictures.  :)

Joslyn and Jadey had fun in the chair in the back room.  It rocks and also spins around.  So they took turns sitting in it and spinning each other.  They were getting it going pretty fast.

Joslyn ate blueberry bread pudding and blueberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate turkey burger, green beans, and kiwi.

Joslyn spent a lot of time in the back room playing by herself.  She was pushing, grabbing, and going for the kids with her claws out and her fangs bared.  :)  She was sitting by baby Nora and even pushed her when Nora reached for the book she was holding.  I told her that Nora is just a baby and you can easily move away from her.  It seemed like she wanted to be alone and she never cried once when I removed her from the room.  It was like she expected it and wanted it.  She finally did poop when she was alone and I think that was the primary factor.  I also thought that after she ate breakfast that may help, but it was the same scenario as before breakfast.  So I'm sure it was the pooping thing.  We had her do some puzzles too and other more 'solitary' activities, but where she could still be relatively close to the group.

The kids watched the furniture movers work at the house across the street.  Joslyn and Thomas were the ones most interested and watched the longest.

She played with the drums in the back room.  And she was in the igloo with Kenzie and Morgan and they all had drums.  Three drums + three kids in the igloo = big time casualties.  But this was "post-poop" so everyone came out in one piece.  :)  Getting rid of that poop did make a difference.

Joslyn ate jelly toast and 2nd's on dried mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of burrito, 1/2 of her sweet potatoes, and most of her tropical fruit.

Joslyn was pretty determined that Thomas needed to be hugged and loved on; He was a bit more determined that he didn't need any of that.  :)

Kenzie was putting on the leopard suit and she was asking Joslyn to help her with the zipper.  That's always so cute when they do that.  I've never heard any of them say, "sorry, I just am not able to work that zipper."  :)  They always try real hard to help each other.

Then she and Kenzie were rubbing noses and it was so stinking cute.  Then they were hugging and Kenzie said, "I love you."  Those two don't show that kind of affection to each very often and here's why; about 20 seconds after the above described love affair they were fighting and Joslyn had pinched Kenzie's ear and Kenzie was howling.  :)  And they were back to their usual way of interacting with each other; avoidance.

Joslyn was doing two of her favorite activities this week; filling the backpacks full of toys and watching birds out the window.  (then slapping the window and watching them fly).

Here's a picture of them playing with the drums in the back room.  And a second picture using them using erasable markers on erasable boards at art time.

Joslyn ate dried plums and 2nd's on cinnamon roll for breakfast.  For lunch she ate scrambled eggs, bite of waffle and hash browns, and ate cantaloupe.

Joslyn had one of the backpacks full of stuff; food toys, phone, and a doll or maybe two dolls.  Lauralea was looking for an extra phone and she asked Joslyn is she had a phone in her purse.  Joslyn let her know that it was not a purse, but "a backpack!"  :)

She was on the couch reading books and then was trying to read books to baby Nora.  She even put the book back in the bookrack after she was done.  (without our prompting.)  Nice job Joslyn!

She and Jadey were playing on the mattress;  jumping and trying new 'tricks'.  It was pretty cute; one of them would try something and then the other one would do the same thing.

She had fun with the back room toys again.  She had the drums and was thumping on them and singing a song.  I tried to listen, but the sound and lyrics were not familiar.  :)

Joslyn ate mixed fruit and 1/2 of kix cereal for breakfast.  For lunch she ate 2nd's on ham sandwich, ate steamed broccoli, and mandarin oranges.

We did a toy and book exchange so Joslyn and everyone was very busy checking it all out.  She played with the dress-up stuff which includes a lot of animal suits.  She was wearing the lion suit and pretty soon everyone else was wearing something.  (they all followed suit)  :)  Hey, it's a Monday, that's as good of a pun as I could come up with!

This blog may be a bit shorter as I was gone for an hour this morning while Missy helped out.  (I had to have my hearing aids cleaned and adjusted).

Missy said that Joslyn was bringing her all the different toys to look at.  It was funny when Missy was leaving because Joslyn was ignoring her "goodbyes" and kept looking at me to see what I thought.  Missy said that Joslyn did let her hold, cuddle, and harass her while I was gone.

Joslyn liked the cars and ramps, drums, books, and legos in the back room.

Hey, I have to tell you something funny that Jadey said.  She was playing with one of the dolls that has pretty dark skin.  She looked at that doll for awhile and said, "It been tanning!!"  :)  Now that's comedy!

Joslyn ate cinnamon toast and 2nd's on grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, dinner roll, mashed potatoes, and canned cherries.

Early this morning before breakfast Joslyn walked back to the bathroom when everyone else did and she was dry and she also went potty.  That was the only time this morning, but that was good.

The first thing she did today was run over and snuggle up close to Nora.  All the kids love Nora.  She's very 'easy-going' and really likes them to interact with her.  And of course Joslyn is thrilled to oblige her.

Joslyn had another good morning with minimal conflict.  Two days in a row.  Good job Joslyn!  She's been keeping her hands off the other kids and not much screaming.

She and Jadey were playing the little 'pianos' in the back room.  They go back in this 'cubby hole' (used to be the closet and I've taken the door off) and it's easier to block off the babies from getting to their toys.  She still had those little dinosaurs right beside her.  They've been her favorite toys in the back room all week.
