Joslyn ate half of her breakfast: brown rice and raisins. For lunch she ate her french bread and only a bite of; meat loaf, carrots, and dried apricots.
Several kids were gone today and Joslyn and Jadey wanted to go out and watch Lauralea fix the rice for breakfast. So they watched her for a while and then worked on some puzzles.
Joslyn and Jadey also played with the dolls and dress-up clothes. They had their "babies" wrapped in blankets and were feeding them. I asked Joslyn what she was eating and she said, "ice-cream." :) Then they had on lots of dress-up clothes and swim goggles. They were going "swimming."
Joslyn hasn't been with baby Nora as much as she was a few weeks ago. She still loves the babies, but those babies start to get a mind of their own and that's not as much fun. :) Nora is liking to grab the other kids and that's what happened when Joslyn went up to her this morning. She grabbed Joslyn's face and of course Nora's little fingernails are sharp and she also got some of Joslyn's hair. Joslyn jerked her head back and looked at Nora with an expression of "How could you?" Then she looked at me and I said, "well sweetie that's kind of what babies do." Joslyn went and found something else to play with. Something that she could control a little better. :)
She was riding the bicycle up the sidewalk as fast as her little legs could go. She told me that, "this is my motorcycle!" (I know how much you like motorcycles Melanie.)

Joslyn ate cinnamon toast and 2nd's on grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken strips, half of dinner roll, bite of fried red potatoes, and bites of cherries.
Joslyn was all excited because we rotated some sleeping spots and her nap mat in now in Jadey's old spot. Thomas is transitioning to a nap mat and he will be right beside my chair which was Joslyn's old spot. She told Thomas, "You get to sleep in my spot!"
Lauralea was taking some pictures and Joslyn wanted to see the last picture and said, "I wanna see my friend Josie!" Hey, we all need friends and sometimes I'm my only friend. :)
I told Lauralea that I was going to tell you guys that Joslyn has potential for multitasking. She had her thumb in her mouth and her index finger up her nose. That left her other hand free for other jobs. :)
Outside she spent lots of time on the bikes and she is very good at peddling all over. And of course she spent lots of time in the playhouse fixing meals for anyone who was interested. Morgan came over and was ordering "baby snacks" and Joslyn was working hard to deliver those. :)

Joslyn ate bites of breakfast: whole wheat bagel and peaches. For lunch she ate ham and cheese sandwich, ate lettuce salad, and corn.
It's fun to listen to the kids start to experiment with songs such as adding their own words, sound effects, etc. Jadey heard the word "who" in one of our songs and started singing, "Who let the dogs out?" (That was not the song that was playing.) Then Joslyn takes off with that and she's then using a real 'gravely' voice singing, "Who let the dogs out?" She was trying to make it sound lower. Pretty stinking funny. :)
Lauralea's mom and aunt were here for a few minutes and then the kids were lined up at the window waving bye to them and they thought the kids were so adorable.
Joslyn was laying her head in Nora's lap like usual. Nora just loves it and she grabs Joslyn's ears or hair and Joslyn loves it too.
Coral is here all day and the kids are having lots of fun with her. She reads to them and rolls around on the mattress with them.

Joslyn ate blueberry muffin and pears for breakfast. For lunch she ate tuna and crackers, bite of sweet potatoes, and bite of oranges.
Joslyn was getting rides in the wagon from Emily first and then Morgan. Joslyn was laying flat in the wagon so that it was difficult to see her from a distance. :) She was having a good time.
She played with lots of dress-up clothes; especially the hats and boots.
She was wrapping up her dolls in the blankets again and then using the hats for their beds. That 'trend' was started by Morgan.
She and Emily were playing with the food toys and feeding "ice cream" to each other. Then Joslyn was doing some cooking and serving Emily. Jadey came and got in their way (just to bother them) and was standing front of Joslyn's "refrigerator." Joslyn said, "Get out of my refrigerator!! That's my refrigerator!!" So I helped her run off Jadey and then she and Emily continued with their play. She asked Emily, "Want hot chocolate?" :)
They all lined up at the window to watch the mail lady and to wave at her. She really likes the kids and watches for them and waves at them.

Joslyn ate half of her chex cereal and a bite of fruit salad for breakfast. For lunch she ate a roast beef sandwich, 2nd's on tomato soup, and ate apple slices.
Joslyn's "little mommy" instincts were in full bloom this morning. She noticed that Mia was drooling and the front of her shirt was getting wet. In her 'very concerned voice' she said, "She got stuff down her!" She was very relieved when we put a bib on Mia. :)
I heard Joslyn's concerned voice again and this time Mia had scooted herself partially under the play table. (and she was basically stuck) She can't crawl yet, but is starting to scoot a little on her butt. And "little miss mommy" was just sure she was in a terrible spot. :)
She played with lots of dress-up clothes; especially the hats, swim goggles, and sunglasses. She was wearing two sunglasses at a time.
She found some swim goggles that were the same color as Lauralea's pen and she was impressed. "I got this like the pen!"
And she also played with the legos in the back room. Like I've mentioned many times she loves those legos and will play with them for long periods of time.

Joslyn ate half of her breakfast: oatmeal and dried plums. For lunch she ate hash brown casserole, 2nd's on biscuit, and ate mandarin oranges.
I mentioned to you this morning about her calling Nora "my baby." They were saying that again after you left. Emily said, "Mia's my baby." Joslyn, "Nora's my baby."
Joslyn asked to do puzzles. She worked on them for a long time and then Emily joined her and worked on some puzzles too.
The kids were watching three squirrels chase each other; on the sidewalks and up and down the tree. Then when we went outside we saw another one on the power line in the back yard.
Baby Riley was in the play house on the patio and Joslyn stuck her head in the window and asked for some "coconut." :)
Here's a picture of the kids huddled around Lauralea watching her draw some pictures. She'd draw something and say, "what's that?" She drew a person and Joslyn's answer was, "Gary girl!" I guess it had long hair with a mustache. :)

Joslyn ate cantaloupe and bites of french bread for breakfast. For lunch she ate turkey, crescent roll, bites of squash, and ate dried mangoes.
Morgan and Kenzie were discussing their "brown" hair. Emily said, "mine is blond!" Joslyn heard them and said, "my hair bawoo!" (blue) Yup, cracked me up!
She immediately saw the new sunglasses and swim goggles. (thank you dollar store. Two swim goggles for a $1.)
Morgan and Joslyn were in one of the wagons and talked Kenzie into pulling them. That also cracked me up; two of the biggest kids being pulled by the scrawniest one. :)
Lauralea was throwing these lightweight discs (like frisbees, but lighter) for the kids to chase and burn up some energy. Joslyn was actually throwing it up in the air pretty good.
She rode the bikes, played on the teeter-totter with Morgan, spotted some birds, and spotted an airplane. Morgan said, "it's going to Arizona!" (the airplane)
